About This Game
The original ROM version of Super Adventure Island was created using a SNES emulator, allowing for a true nostalgia experience. Released by Hudson Soft in 1992, the game reinvigorated the side-scrolling platformer genre, offering a gripping storyline and new adventures on Adventure Island. Players take on the role of Master Higgins, battling icy temperatures to rescue his beloved Tina from the clutches of Darkshroud’s magic.
Super Adventure Island is also known for its superb gameplay. Players must collect tropical fruits to stay strong and master two unique weapons: an axe and a boomerang. Power-ups allow players to expand their arsenal with fire weapons! Combined with stunning graphics and a memorable soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro, this game is a memorable homage to the good old days of 16-bit gaming – a truly unforgettable experience!
