About This Game
It’s been 15 years since Pokémon Diamond and Pearl originally released in 2006, and Nintendo has decided to bring it back on the Switch system. In many ways, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes that are very similar to the originals, but also have many modern improvements to make this version the best Sinnoh experience yet.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond introduces generation 4 of Pokémon with 107 new Pokémon. Some of them are really special and you can catch and train during your adventures. As usual, you start by choosing your favorite starter to get started. This time your mission is to stop Team Galactic from reaching the lakes and kidnapping the legendary Pokémon of the region. The plot is quite simple as usual for this game series. What we really enjoy is the game world and countless competitive Pokemon battles.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond retains the core elements of the series. You control the main character moving through routes, doing quests, catching and building your team of Pokémon. Once you have enough experience and confidence, you can go to gyms, defeat trainers, get badges, unlock abilities to progress in the world – no need to attach to Pokémon to use anymore.
