Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is the third game in the Pokémon Ranger series for Nintendo DS. The game was released on March 6, 2010 in Japan and is scheduled for release on October 4, 2010 in North America. The game takes place in a new region called Oblivia, composed of four islands. Unlike the first two games, players are not limited to capturing Pokémon with the Capture Styler; they can also battle and capture wild Pokémon as in a traditional RPG. New features include a cooperative multiplayer mode where players can team up to capture Pokémon and the ability to befriend and ride certain Pokémon.
