Pokémon Ranger is a spin-off series froll m the Pokémon franchise, developed by HAL Laboratory and Creatures Inc. The game was originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS handheld console.

In Pokémon Ranger, players take on the role of a Pokémon Ranger, a skilled individual who works to protect and preserve the environment and the creatures that inhabit it. Players capture and befriend wild Pokémon using a special tool called the Capture Styler, which allows them to draw circles around the Pokémon on the touchscreen to form a connection with it. Captured Pokémon become temporary allies, assisting the player in battles and puzzle-solving as they explore the game world.

• Capture Pokemon: Unlike the main series of Pokemon games, where players catch Pokemon by battling them and throwing Pokeballs, in Pokemon Ranger, players use a device called a “Capture Styler” to capture Pokemon by drawing loops around them. The captured Pokemon then follow the player around and can be used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
• Use Pokemon to solve puzzles: Each Pokemon that the player captures has a unique ability that can be used to solve puzzles and progress through the game. For example, a water-type Pokemon can be used to put out fires, and a flying-type Pokemon can be used to reach high places.
• Battle bosses: The game features several boss battles, where players must use their captured Pokemon to defeat powerful opponents. These battles require strategy and skill, and often involve figuring out the weaknesses of the boss Pokemon.
• Explore different areas: The game takes place in the Fiore region, which is divided into several areas that the player can explore. Each area has its own unique challenges and puzzles to solve.
