Miitopia ROM for Nintendo 3DS keeps one of the strangest handheld RPGs from Nintendo’s 3DS era available for players who already own the original game and want a personal backup. Miitopia looks simple at first, but the game has a personality that sticks. The story is strange, the cast is built from Mii characters, and the battles often become funny for reasons that have little to do with strategy.
The setup is easy to understand. The Dark Lord steals faces from people across the world and places them on monsters. From there, the player builds a party using custom Miis and watches the adventure turn into a light fantasy comedy. A friend can become the hero, a family member can become the villain, and a random character can somehow become the most entertaining part of the whole journey.
