Pokémon Violet is the latest game in the series, developed and published exclusively by Nintendo for the Switch console. As usual, there are two different versions of this game: Violet and Scarlet. Basically, the content and gameplay are exactly the same, differing only in the starting Pokémon. Pokémon Violet takes place in the Paldea region, located on the Iberian Peninsula in Spain. This is the area where many types of Pokémon live and develop, and where all Trainers go in search of legendary Pokémon.
Pokémon Violet features the familiar gameplay mechanics of the series, with players exploring the vast open world, capturing and training Pokémon, participating in battles, and completing the Pokédex. Violet introduces more Pokémon from the new generation. It also adds new features and a new story to the series. Many fans expected Violet to be a big step forward for the Pokémon franchise, and Nintendo did not disappoint. The game has sold over 10 million copies worldwide since its release.
